Kannur has always been at the forefront of educational excellence in Kerala. As the world rapidly shifts toward a technology-first future, our district is taking decisive action to ensure our children lead the way.
Spearheaded by the District e-Governance Society (DeGS), Kannur, CICET-GCEK, and AI4Kerala, this groundbreaking mission aims to transform Kannur into a fully AI-literate district. By making high-quality tech education completely free and accessible, this initiative actively removes financial barriers and bridges the digital divide. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to equip every student with the modern skills required to innovate and thrive in the 21st century.
What is AI4Kerala?
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept reserved for scientists; it is actively shaping the world we interact with every single day.
AI4Kerala is a comprehensive, free online learning initiative specifically designed to teach school students the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence. Officially launched by Shri V.D. Satheesan, Hon'ble Opposition Leader of Kerala, the program serves as the educational engine driving this district-wide digital literacy mission.
Curated and executed by a dedicated technical team led by IIT alumni, the program translates advanced technological concepts into accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate modules. Rather than merely teaching students how to use modern digital tools, AI4Kerala provides the practical skills and foundational knowledge needed to understand and build them. Ultimately, it is a structured pathway designed to transform students from passive consumers of technology into the active creators and innovators of tomorrow.
